About NST
The newest stage in the evolution of sports training. NST is the missing link to total athletic success.
You practice from dusk till dawn. You live and breathe your training regimen. You’re doing everything physically possible to improve in your sport. However, sometimes the best way to become a better athlete isn’t just by playing or practicing more—it’s by improving your overall athleticism through your brain and adopting optimal approaches and techniques for peak learning.
Just as you can train your body, you can train your brain. Your brain controls all of your athletic abilities, including visual tracking, reaction speed, efficient body control, spatial recognition, situational awareness, focus, concentration, and the ability to stay in the moment, to name a few.
Our NST program represents the latest advancements in neuroscience for athletes. It is a brain plasticity-based cognitive training program designed to strengthen your brain and integrate your mind with your body—enhancing your skills and helping you become a faster, more focused, and more efficient athlete.
Success in sports is the direct result of how well your mind channels your physical abilities.
The Science
Your brain controls your entire body, including the neuromuscular system that drives every movement you make. Together, they regulate your physical abilities—proprioceptive feedback, reaction speed, coordination, balance, and more.
Your athletic performance is not determined by physical ability alone. It is the combination of your physical capabilities and your cognitive processing skills—such as awareness, decision-making, and focus—that ultimately determines how well you perform.
Rethinking “Muscle Memory”
There is no such thing as muscle memory—muscles themselves do not have memory. We know this through stroke rehabilitation research. What we commonly call “muscle memory” actually exists in the brain. It is known as neural motor patterns.
As athletes, our goal is to develop repeatable, efficient neural motor patterns.
Why This Matters
If you believe performance is stored in the muscles, you may focus your training in the wrong place. But when you understand that movement patterns are created and stored in the brain, you can train more effectively.
By targeting the brain to develop repeatable and efficient motor patterns, the techniques you practice become more precise, more consistent, and more automatic. This leads to faster skill development and greater performance gains than training the muscles alone.
NST is designed to integrate your mind with your body for better:
-
Speed and volume control
-
Reaction skills
